Kovu the Dog needs a home
Kovu is a handsome, yellow, Cocker Spaniel-Corgi mix with lots of love to give. Sadly, Kovu is looking for a new home after he was surrendered to a shelter with his 10 year old English Cocker brother because their owners had no time for them. Kovu was the ‘mostly inside’ dog, while his brother was the ‘outside’ dog. Sadly, Kovu’s brother did not last the year as he ruptured the tendons holding the heart valves intact. As a result, Kovu, needs to find a new home and move on without his brother. Kovu loves to eat, is very treat motivated, and knows basic commands, is house and crate-trained, and knows a few tricks like shake and he has learned to ‘catch’ treats. He rides well in the car, and likes it best when his fosters are in the same area. He likes to keep track of the other foster dogs, and ensure they all come in from outside. He is good with other dogs and children that are gentle, loves to make snow angels, take walks, and is quite the silly boy when he scratches his back.
