DOG'S DESCRIPTION
This poor mama was abandoned in October. A Good Samaritan gave her shelter and food the Samaritan is elderly and leaving to live with her daughter. Reese is a shepherd mix, very passive, docile, and sweet. She has been great with foster dogs, kids, but wants to chase the cats. She was heartworm positive but has already been treated. She is vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed. She never jumps up but always wants to be right by your side at times. Pure love and sweetness!!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
