Adopt a Anatolian Shepherd / Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (short coat)
Lilah the Dog needs a home
Lilah has the serious expression of her mother, whom we believe to be an Anatolian Shepherd, possibly mixed with a Great Pyrenees. Lilah has the coat and coloring of a Catahoula or Red Heeler, so we're guessing her dad must be some kind of Cow Dog. But it's all just speculation on our part, and the only way to know for sure which breeds contribute to her unique good looks would be to do a DNA test. That's not in our budget, but if you would like to DONATE one, we would be glad to have it done and share the results. :)
Like most Anatolian Shepherds, Lilah is a bit reserved, loyal to her family and pack, and a bit distrustful of strangers. But when you win her over, her loyalty to YOU will be unmatched. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she is ready to start protecting your home as soon as you're ready to give her the job. Speaking of jobs, Lilah has proven to be a good guardian for our goats and sheep, and safe with our chickens. She goes into the chicken yard with us every day to check things out. She is still young though, so we would not recommend leaving her around the chickens unsupervised.
Lilah's estimated date of birth is mid- to late-December 2014.
Lilah has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she has been on heartworm prevention and wormer since she was a puppy. She is ready to go to a new home as soon as you're ready to add her to your family.
