RESCUING CASSIE

Cassie was brought into the pound by a Good Samaritan. He pulled his car over to save her from being attacked by 4 or 5 other dogs. Cassie was in shock and needed emergency care. Her body temperature dropped at 95 degrees. She was in a lot of pain from the bites and infection had set in. One of our amazing foster families was able to step up and Cassie got her freedom ride on November 20th.

ABOUT CASSIE

Cassie is a fantastic lady that is incredibly loving and responsive to her people. She is crate trained and learning basic training commands very quickly. Her favorite things are her blankie and lion, which she likes to travel with as well as bring to the couch for snuggle time. She is wonderful with children of all ages and even tempered with other submissive dogs when introduced slowly although she would be perfectly happy as an only dog. Cassie does have extensive scarring from being attacked by other dogs in the past, but her wounds have healed beautifully and she has kept full use of her most affected leg with only a very slight limp. She is able to run, jump, climb stairs, and get onto the couch with relative ease. Cassie would function best in a low energy environment with occasional bursts of play. She would not mind some doggie companions although she would prefer a home without cats. She does well with dogs her size or larger. She does not enjoy being crated away from people and will do her very best to get back to cuddling with you in any way possible. She is the PERFECT cuddle companion and she adores a good Netflix marathon. She is a sweet, tolerant, and gentle girl who will make a wonderful companion!

Our adoption fee is $250. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.
