Adopt a English Mastiff
Sadie the Dog needs a home
Don’t let her grey face fool you- this southern girl is younger than she looks. Her original paperwork guessed she was 7 but vets concur her teeth are in good enough condition to indicate a few years younger. Sadie is a spayed English Mastiff who has been treated for heartworm and is now cleared. She also has a small cherry eye but the Vet opted out of surgery as he feels it is cosmetic and not doin there any harm. She is crate trained and food motivated. She has a high prey drive and therefore cannot be placed with cats or small animals of any kind. She tested well with a giant breed female dog and will be retested with males in a few weeks. She loves everyone she meets but likes to keep her people safe so she protects her yard from intruders. She will need her people to let Sadie know it’s okay for strangers to come in. Once she falls in love with you she’s a Velcro dog and will give you nuzzles for attention. However, Sadie is low maintenance. She’s content with a comfortable bed and a few pets every once in awhile. She is completely house-trained and has never had an accident in the house since coming to her foster home. She is not comfortable with stairs and will not go up more than a few stairs so she would do best in a ranch style home. She is a sweet, affectionate girl waiting for her family to call her own.
