Update : Houlie is frustrated due to her deafness, a loving dog who jumps on you, gives LOVE BITES, barks for attention, lays down to get her belly rubbed and back massages. Walks fairly well on the leash we are going for walks more often.
FEBRUARY UPDATE: Houlie loves people and will follow you around, loves being petted, massaged and snuggled. She does well on the leash on walks and really relaxed after the exercise. She does tend to pull a little in the yard. Sleeps through the night in her crate with a sheet over it. She is doing better in the car though she does like someone there for support and love. Loves other dogs but she can be a bit overwhelming to them and has trouble calming down so she might be better off as an only dog with lots of play dates. She is an amazing, loving girl with tons of potential who would benefit from an experienced owner with time and attention to help her with training.
Houlie was rescued by a nice gentlemen who saw the dog wandering around, and then realized she was deaf. Unfortunately, his dogs were not very accepting of her. She gets along great with the bigger dogs because she is so active and does not know her own size. Due to this, we recommend no small children, small dogs or cats.
