DOG'S DESCRIPTION

Maynard and his sister, Margo, were dumped, in horrible condition, at a kill shelter. Maynard is very underweight so we are working on putting some weight on him and getting his skin cleared up. With some TLC and good nutrition, he will look amazing in no time! Despite all he's been through, he is a total sweetheart and is hoping for a furever home. He's very friendly and good with other dogs. 

He is as sweet as can be but needs some serious TLC as he is very undernourished.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
