Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)
Caroline the Cat needs a home
Caroline needs some time to warm up and get used to new surroundings. She likes to keep to herself but loves attention from people. She prefers to be pet, not a huge fan of getting picked up. She is easy going around dogs that aren't in her face too much. Caroline loves comfort and fluffy bedding! She meows a little, mostly in the morning, and has a funny quirk of running and jumping into the bathtub (empty) wanting to get pets.
All About Me:
It's affectionate when you don't try to snuggle me--seriously. I prefer showing my affection in other ways.
I've got hair, okay?! If I could vacuum it myself... I still wouldn't. But it's not so bad, I promise.
If you try really, really hard I may bat at a toy once or twice. Otherwise, I have other more important things to be doing with my time than playing. I do enjoy something good to scratch on, though!
I've figured out meowing gets me things I want, like petting and treats. Otherwise, I'm not much of a talker.
Are you looking at me? You are--PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (times infinity; it's never-ending; why am I not tired from doing it constantly).
I've never been around kids!
Well, I'm going to go to my room until you decide it's time for this other human to leave.
Brush, brush, brush... that's enough. Okay, a little more... No, really, I'm done. Bah, nail trims.
Other cats? Eh, lets just all sleep and keep to ourselves. I've been around at least one other cat that was the same age as me and was stand-offish.
Me and this pup live here together. That's about it. I've been around at least one dog that's a year or two older than me, didn't mind me being around, and was large in size (60lbs+).
This kitty is currently in Foster Care.

Thank you for choosing to adopt!
As a no-kill rescue, we can only bring in and save more cats and kittens in need as our current cats and kittens are adopted. This is why we say that when you adopt one cat or kitten you are actually saving TWO lives! One is the current cat or kitten that you are adopting, the second is the one that we now have room to save and place into our safe shelter.
About The Cat Corner:
The Cat Corner was founded by a very passionate and devoted animal lover, Martha Nicholson. After seeing an overwhelming number of cats homeless and being euthanized, Martha was determined to open a no-kill shelter to make a difference in these cats' lives. In 1981, Martha purchased an old barber shop at her own expense and opened The Cat Corner in Hampton, Virginia. The Cat Corner is a completely volunteer operated organization and is solely funded by donations from the community. Because of the help of our caring and hardworking volunteers and the support and donations from our community, we have been able to uphold Martha's dream and make a difference in countless lives...and doing so for over three decades!
The Cat Corner, Inc. is a nonprofit, all-volunteer-run organization that does not receive any federal, state or local government funding. We depend solely from the generosity of caring individuals from our community to continue to do our work.
