Adopt a Bichon Frise / Mixed (medium coat)
Bernie Colden the Dog needs a home
I created quite the fuss!
Bernie was born about October 20, 2010 and weighs about 11 lbs. This little boy was found wandering in the road over an hour from here by dog control. For a few various reasons it was felt, for sure he was a dog Joyful adopted out and a few of us spent several hours trying to figure out who he was to no avail. While we do adopt out many previously used mill dogs and it's likely he is one of those due to the microchip information, he was not adopted from here and after much research we realized that to have come from here we'd have had to have made three huge errors all on one dog - not likely. Sure, we do make errors now and then, but not three all at once and the guy wasn't neutered, that would be a big mistake. So, since dog control put us through so many hoops they decided the boy should come here so we can take care of his neutering, the condition of his fur and nails, and much needed dental. This is all done and now he is ready to find a new home - a much better home than what landed him on a back road by himself. He is shy, we do feel he was a mill dog, so he will need some patience and understanding while he begins to understand that no human will ever be unkind to him again. It is an amazing thing when you see the sparkle in the eyes of a dog that has never known love before and then you catch them looking at you and wagging their tail. The work is SO worth it. As with many of these small dogs we like to warn that they may struggle throughout life with house training and often benefit from having potty floor pads available.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $225.00.
