Tommy the Dog needs a home
Courageous Tommy learned to walk on a leash at 11 years old. He was born in 2004 and spent most of his life with an overwhelmed caregiver. Because he didn't get the attention he needed, it takes time and patience for him to establish new relationships with people. But once you earn his trust, he is willing to follow your lead and to learn new things. He's even started letting new people leash him up and walk him. Tommy builds trust with his caregivers and friends by eating his meals out of their hands. He also takes treats nicely, even with other dogs around, and likes to entertain himself with food puzzles. Tommy sometimes plays the tough guy with dogs who are smaller than he is, so he'd probably do best with another dog his size or larger. This cute, inquisitive boy has come a long way at the Sanctuary, and is ready to experience all the wonderful things life has to offer.
