Ruby the Dog needs a home
Ruby is a 15 year old beagle mix, about 25 lbs. She's aged well- she's still a pretty girl, and very sweet. She was recently turned in from a home. They had adopted her from us two years ago. At the time, she was a very young 13- her favorite thing was playing fetch! When she was turned back in at 15, we were told that her age was catching up with her. She was having accidents in the house. They wondered if she was deaf, because she wasn't answering commands.
We will monitor her to see if she has hearing issues. What we've seen so far is that when she's asleep, she sleeps very heavily. But when she's awake she is well behaved, gentle, easy going, and alert. She likes trotting around the front yard, and she's pretty spry for her age- she can jump from one piece of furniture to another in our visitor's area. Her mind seems good- she remembered her favorite volunteer and they had a happy reunion. She should be a loving and devoted companion in the right home- probably a quiet, all adult home without a lot of activity and noise, and with people who can spend time hanging out with her.
Leash trained. She's been nice to dogs of all sizes.
