Adopt a Border Collie / Husky / Mixed (long coat)

Border Collie / Husky / Mixed (long coat) Dog

Charlie the Dog needs a home

CHARLIE

Border Collie mix, n/m, 7 yrs. young (in 2017).  Very quiet & has low to moderate energy.

Charlie was an owner surrender to a county animal control by his elderly owners.  Apparently they traveled a lot, & somehow could not manage it with him.  They said that he was also too much for them to handle.  Charlie was then adopted into a family w/a very young toddler, that lasted about a week & he was returned again.

Charlie is now in our care & is virtually almost always found with a ball or toy in his mouth.  He ignores his fosters cats. While he gets along with her dog, he is more interested in the ball than the dog.  He loves to play fetch, knows some basic obedience He needs a dedicated human to work with him on his leash work, someone strong enough not to get knocked over by him would be best. He is housebroken & is a great companion on any road trip!

We have experienced his "attachment" to his food & while it is not a problem for an adult or experienced dog person, we feel it best that he go to an adult only home.

This lovable goof ball will make anyone smile.  He has the Border Collie “eye/stare”, and thinks he’s the best herder of the bunch, that in itself to watch will make you smile too.
