Sammie's Friends is a 501©(3) non-profit corporation. We provide medical care for the animals at the Nevada County Shelter, making them adoptable, and we support other disadvantaged animals in Nevada County that would otherwise be euthanized to end their suffering. Sammie's Friends also operates the Nevada County Animal Shelter. WE ARE A NO KILL SHELTER!
Rowley
is partially deaf and he is responding well to a vibrating collar to get his attention. We would love to find him a home with someone knowledgeable about training dogs that are deaf.

I came to this fine institute around Halloween of last year and they have sure taken great care of me. I had a rough go of it, was really hungry for quite a long time, lost and alone. They took me in, fattened me up, taught me to play well with others, which actually wasn't hard because I'm a pretty mellow bloke. I know how to have fun now and I'm a happy boy. I play really nicely in the yard with all of the other dogs. I never chew my toys up. I'd also like to add that I rarely make a mess in my kennel. I know how important that is to you. I'm in need of a forever home. Can it be with you? I hope to find the end of the rainbow with you! I'm a really handsome guy with a striking patch over my eye and an unusually curled up tail."
