Meet Caleb!


Caleb is in a women's prison dog training program and graduates Nov. 14th


Caleb is as lovable as he is loving. When they popularized the saying "Man's Best Friend", they had a dog like Caleb in mind. This young mutt wants nothing more than to be loved and to give love in return. He loves attention, is ecstatic to meet new people of all ages, and would equally love a furry friend. His excitement can be overwhelming at first--and we are working on jumping and down/off commands--but once he makes your acquaintance he wants nothing more than to sit next to you or wrap up around you on the couch watching nature and animal documentaries. Even more, he enjoys going on walks, sniffing around outside, and is great at fetch. He walks wonderfully on leash and will explore if you let him, but he will keep an eye on you as closely or even more so than you do him. Crate and house trained, we believe Caleb was born in April 2016. He is full grown but maintains the energy of a puppy. He loves to chew up his toys, stays away from shoes and other household items, and will play tug of war until you go crazy. Once he wears you out, no problem, he is equally enthusiastic about self play. This pup likes to use his paws as well and our best guess is a lab/boxer mix. Thank you for considering adopting a new family member. Most of our adoptable dogs live inside foster homes.  Fostering teaches house manners, helps to potty/crate train and accustoms the dogs become familiar with the sights, sounds of living in a home environment.
