Rex is a blind dog. He prefers to explore on his own than to be led on a leash. He walks slowly and carefully, tapping his feet as a blind person might tap a cane. He was picked up stray on a night when the temperature was -4 degrees and the windchill was -35. He has a sweet nature and is completely non-reactive to other dogs. His skin feels like velvet. He loves ear rubs. At the shelter he was a quiet dog who slept when it wasn't mealtime. We will update his profile as we get to know him better. 


Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated.  Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption.  100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest.



Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
