Adopt a Cattle Dog (medium coat)
Juanita the Dog needs a home
Juanita's had a rough go in life. She was found by rafters on San Juan river banks in terrible shape. She had multiple injuries, and exposure to the elements had taken its toll. She spent a long time at the Best Friends Animal Clinic getting patched up, and although she lost an eye to " river blindness? (caused by a parasite), she's feeling much better. Born in 2010, Juanita is slow-moving, but she has an admirable zest for life. Though she's a little shy and fearful with strangers at first, she warms up quickly and is a gentle and endearing spirit.Juanita has anxiety and needs a home where she can feel safe and loved. She was not a big fan of small spaces when she arrived at Dogtown, and loud noises and sudden movements startle her. She'll do best in a quiet home where she has a good amount of space. She is currently going through treatment on her remaining eye, and she can be picky with her doggie friends. At the Sanctuary, she has been working on meeting new people, riding in a car and walking on leash. She will be appreciative of companionship and protection in a loving home of her own.
