Adopt a Torbie / Mixed (short coat)
Gum Drop the Cat needs a home
Gum Drop was rescued from living under a cement porch and taking refuge under a plastic bag over a lawn mower. She was living there with her 5 kittens born about mid-April 2014 and her daughter born in probably January 2015. Gum Drop is guessed to be just over 1 year old. What a great mom. She is a survivor and she is SO THANKFUL to be off the streets and into a home awaiting a forever loving home, hopefully with her teen, Tootsie Roll, as they do love each other very much. The younger babies are being called Sugar Babies, of course!
They all have a tendency to roll over for belly rubs. The mom and teen are the most outgoing. The kittens have quickly learned how much nicer it is inside. Of the 5 Sugar Babies, 4 are female: 2 torbi kittens like their mom and older sister, one torti with an orange racing stripe down her nose (too cute), and a black with white highlights. The mostly black is the male and he is the most happy with belly rubs of the kittens.
We do not know how big the baby kittens will get, but Gum Drop is petit and we expect Tootsie Roll to be petit also. They are mirror images of each other.
They are in foster care together. If you would be interested in meeting any of them, please contact their foster mom at 914-713-8649, leaving a voicemail message if nobody answers and please, no calls after 9 p.m.
Thank you for wanting to save a life!
