Walter can be a bit reserved when first meeting you, but a few head scratches later and he's all yours. This little guy isn't clingy, though. He wants to spend his days near you, but he doesn't have to be sitting on your lap the entire time. Great news for people who like to avoid a dusting of dog hair on their pants.
He is an active, alert doggie who enjoys going on walks and saying hello to other dogs. Walter quickly warms up to strangers, but he doesn't always enjoy the energy level (and volume) of young children. He's used to a more laid back scene. Before coming to POMDR, he was the gentle companion of a senior who has since passed away.
Walter sleeps quietly in a crate at night and does just fine roaming free during the day. He shares his toys, but he likes to keep his food to himself. If there's a cat in the vicinity, Walter thinks it's great fun to run after it. He's a smart cookie who's currently learning better manners and catching on quickly.
Walter will thrive in a relaxed environment with someone looking for a fun, four-legged friend to take on walks and love on.
