Adopt a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat)

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped.  Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston.  We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered.  We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old.

Hi! My name is Mopsy and I was so scared at the shelter in Liberty. The nice people at K-9 Angels gave me a place to go and took care of some of my puppy health issues but now I'm feeling great and having fun every day! Right now I live with my foster mom, foster dad and my foster boy and foster girl. They all love me and I get to play and get held a lot. Right now I have a puppy brothe
r too named Flopsy. People say that I'm so cute. I don't really know what everyone means when they say that but I hope its good because everyone says it! I don't really love pictures since I don't know what's going on, but I'm a happy little girl. I love toys. I especially like ones that squeek and tennis balls. I have a very tiny mouth since I'm only about 6 pounds, but I really love to put a whole tennis ball in my mouth and run around keeping it away from my brother Flopsy. When I run, since I'm really little, I hop around. I guess its cute since everyone says it is. 



I'm great at giving cuddles and I'm super smart. I love to meet other dogs. I get a little scared at first when they bark at me, but I still want to meet them. I like everyone I meet! Even though I'm young and tiny I'm really learning where I'm supposed to go to the bathroom and where I'm not supposed to go. I like being told I'm a good girl and try to do whatever I can to get told that a lot. My little ears kind of fold in to the top of my head and my foster mom says sometimes it looks like I have an ear hat! I love to eat my food and my foster mom is teaching me how to sit using treats. I LOVE treats. I'll do just about anything for a treat. I'm learning fast! People tell me what pretty coloring I have all the time. All I know is that I have a lot of colors in my fur and I'm sure that makes me cool. I know my foster mom will miss me a lot when I go because she tells me how special I am, but I am really excited to find my home where I'll be forever!

PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/k9_angels_rescue_adoption_process.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered.

SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one’s pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted.  If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.

NOTE:  All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian.
