Avery the Dog needs a home
Avery is a nine month old Pit Bull Terrier/Belgian Malinois mix who weighs 48 pounds. Avery is the most loving cuddle bug you could imagine. If you are looking for a dog who will cuddle in bed one day but could handle adventures like hiking the next — then Avery may be the girl for you! She is playful, highly trainable, and loves all people. She is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash (though she is still learning not to pull!); she is also spayed and current on vaccines. She prefers a home without small children because she is still learning not to jump when she is excited. She has brindle fur, pointy ears, a big smile, and wants nothing more than a home of her own!

***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers and we require a home check for each of our adoptable pets prior to them going to their new homes, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family further than 60 miles from Charlotte is responsible for finding a representative of a rescue local to them that is willing to perform the home check. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as the application is approved.***
