Adopt a Rottweiler (short coat)
Bonnie the Dog needs a home
Friends, we need your help again for a sick girl that was turned in to BARC (Houston pound) to be euthanized! Bonnie was turned into the pound after her owner became very ill and Bonnie is very ill as well. We received a plea about her on Thursday that she could not get around and was panting with labored breathing and it sounded as if we may be in the same position as we were with our sweet Jaz last weekend (being by her side as she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge). We co
uld not bear the thought of her in a cage at BARC in that condition and no doubt terrified. Well, with your generosity for Jaz, we had a few hundred dollars left and decided to pull Bonnie and get her checked out right away. We were able to have xrays and blood work done and unfortunately she had what appears to be a pretty significant heart issue.
We are having to keep her at our ER vet because we do not have a foster and she cannot be in boarding. While it is better than the alternative - she needs to be in a quiet home being loved on. Everyone who has met her has just gushed over how sweet she is and very submissive.
Please contact us at [email protected] right away if you can help Bonnie by opening your home. We don't know how much longer this sweet girl has and we want what may be her last weeks to be in a loving and comy environment.
If you cannot foster but want to help Bonnie, please donate towards her care as it is going to cost quite a bit for her to see the cardiologist and have tests run next week. www.scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate
