Meet spunky and sweet Maggie!  Maggie is a 50 lb, 7 year old Heeler-terrier mix.  Maggie came to us with a large painful tumor in her ear which was completely removed and tested benign!

She is completely house trained, loves fetch and while she pulls a bit from excitement, she is also good on leash and loves walks.  She does well with dogs her size, and currently lives with a 20 pound terrier mix and they are respectful and friendly to each other. However, she might be too much for a timid or easily scared small dog.

Maggie is an absolute darling- she is goofy, happy and eager to please.  She wants to be with her humans at all times, but doesn't whine or cry or destroy anything, if left in a different room to sleep.  She is able to and loves to sleep next to her human, actually, she loves to "spoon" and sleeps most soundly if her head is on top of your arm, leg or on your tummy.  She'd be a great friend for an only child as she is completely entranced by her humans and runs to the door practically throwing her back out with vigorous wags.  She is very food motivated, but veerrrry gentle when accepting treats. She is not destructive around the home except she loves to shred stuffed toys.  She does well with nylabones and Kongs.  She loves tennis balls and chasing them, but she will rip the fuzz off of them, so they need to be "fetch only" toys. She is a great dog who will make a wonderful addition to an active family.

Maggie is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines.  Her adoption fee is $250 which helps the rescue cover medical expenses and supplies.  Please fill out an application to meet Maggie today!   * Home visit & introduction to all animals and humans in the home required prior to adoption.

All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.

We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience.  To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.

All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.

Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
