Pepper/Karmen Steele the Dog needs a home
Poor Pepper! She was adopted as a puppy and recently returned after 4 years in a home because her Mom & Dad got divorced and neither wanted to take her with them. She was so scared and confused at the kennel. She kept looking around for her family, wondering where they are and when they are coming back.
Pepper is a sweet medium-size dog weighing approximately 45 lbs. She is crate-trained and house-trained. Pepper knows the sit, stay and leave it commands. Pepper lived with children and did well. She seems to be okay with smaller dogs, but is fearful of dogs bigger than her and prefers not to be around them. Pepper knows how to climb chain-link fences, so she will need to be supervised if outside in a fenced-in yard.

"Pepper is a great family dog! She adapted and fit into our lives very quickly. She is timid when you first meet her but she warms up pretty quickly. She is smart, obedient and considerate of our house and things. She doesn't bark a lot so she may not be a good watch dog but she definitely is a devoted dog who likes to snuggle! She loves our teenage kids as they give her lots of hugs! She is also friendly with their friends who come in and out of our house. She likes to lounge around a good part of the day but she also loves to play! She would do best with someone who can give her long walks or has a fenced in yard. She is looking for someone to love!"
