Modelo the Dog needs a home
Modelo came to us several months ago as part of a group of 4 boxers from Mexico. All 4 were owned by a backyard breeder that died. A poor neighbor did his best to take care of these boxers but food and water were scarce. We were contacted when someone discovered these boxers nearly starving to death. All 4 were in bad medical shape. Modelo was probably the worst.
We think Modelo is about 5 years old, but it is very difficult to determine her age. Normally, vets check teeth, body, and skin. Modelo and the other 3 had lived in such poor conditions that they appear to older than we think they are. Modelo may look a little grey in the tooth, but this girl still has game. She is good with people and other dogs.
