Special Adoption Considerations: 


Jackie is just like her namesake, Jackie O, regal and refined, and won’t be friends with just anyone, so a home with a young dog looking for a playmate or young children may not be the best fit. She does well with cats, and with dogs who like to sit back and enjoy the finer things in life, like naps. Jackie also has some bladder issues, which is managed well with daily medication. 

 



This sweet lady is a 6-7 year old Jack Russell mix, weighing about 14 lbs. One of our great Lucky Dog volunteers found and rescued Jackie right before the 4th of July! While she currently lives in a DC foster home with three rambunctious dogs and a cat, Jackie likes to do her own thing. When she’s not following her favorite humans around, she prefers to be happily snuggled up on the dog bed, or across someone’s lap.  


Since she is past her puppy years, she won't have all that crazy puppy energy! Jackie loves to go for walks and sniff at all the exciting smells, and then come back and nap in the sun. Jackie is a great balance of inquisitive terrier and couch potato. Make this adorable lady a part of your family!!


 





 



Like most shelter dogs, Jackie may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
