Malcolm the Dog needs a home

Hi, I'm Malcolm! I'm a very snuggly guy who loves to cuddle with people as much as I possibly can. I'm always happy: toys make me happy, people make me happy, other dogs make me happy, and food makes me *really* happy!

When I came to SAAP I was very skinny and had been roaming around as a stray, probably for quite a while. My foster family thinks maybe I had a family in the past and got lost. Sometimes I try to run out the front door, so that's probably what happened to me before. I will need my new forever family to be very careful not to let me get lost again!

Whoever adopts me should know that I'm a bit silly and could use some basic training. For example, the other day my foster humans found me standing on the kitchen table eating bananas from the fruit bowl. I thought they had left a snack out for me!

I am house trained, and I really want to please my humans, so I'd be happy to learn new things if someone takes the time to teach me! Foster mom says I'm a very smart dog! I already know "sit", so I bet I could pick up other commands pretty easily too!

I've been doing great at making friends with the other dogs in my foster home. I will need a home with no cats...I just can't resist chasing them. I haven't met any young kids yet, but my foster family thinks I would probably be a pretty amazing family dog.

Like all SAAP dogs, I'm neutered, microchipped, de-wormed, up to date on vaccines, and take a monthly flea and heart worm preventative. If you are interested in meeting or adopting me, please apply at adoptastray.com!
