BETH AND THOSE EARS! the Dog needs a home
- Beth, a dark red/blue brindle female terrier mix with some white, is about 5 years old and weighed 70.2 pounds .
Beth’s forward-facing ears are the very definition of “perky” – and so is her personality.
“Beth is my favorite!” one volunteer dog walker exclaimed. “Adorable pudgy pup, easy to walk and always happy.”
“A bit chunky,” another noted. “Very friendly, super soft slightly brindle coat.”
Beth did very well when observed by shelter staff on Dec. 22: She was clean in her cage, easy to take out, friendly with other dogs who walked passed her and easy to walk on a leash. She did have her hackles up while she was walked past other dogs in the kennel, but she didn’t approach any of them, and when she was leashed and face-to-face with another dog, she was interested and reacted favorably. Beth got excited and barked when introduced to cats, showed no interested in a toy and calmly allowed food to be removed from in front of her. She showed no reaction to having her feet and mouth handled, and enjoyed being touched overall. When looked in the eye, she licked the observer’s face.
Beth’s red/blue brindle coat is as striking as her carefully folded ears; overall, she’s simply a lovely lady looking for an equally lovely home. Ask me for her video!
