FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:  Luke is the most awesome dog!  He loves people, dogs and is very friendly. He has had such a rough life that when he was admitted into BFPA, he literally had no hair:-(  He is now on a good diet, taking supplements and getting the best of care.  There is nothing medically wrong with Luke and since he has been taken care of in the correct manner, his hair is slowly but surely starting to appear!  Even without hair, his skin is soft and he is still loves to be petted and pampered.  Could you pamper him too? This dog is just so special and loving.    

Luke is a quick learner, but needs positive direction from an experienced dog person who will respect his breed characteristics.  He is very treat motivated and knows basic commands but will require more socialization/formal training. Luke loves to be outside with his nose to the ground.  He has boundless energy that could be channeled into agility activities or a running partner.  A fenced in yard would be preferable for him to let out his energy.

He has been tested with cats and ignores them.  Due to Luke's exhuberant energy, kids 12 years and older would be best so he doesn't accidentally knock them over with his play.  He loves car rides and doesn't need to be crated.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Luke was emaciated and very cold when he wandered into someones yard during the winter. Skin and bones and no hair.  He was so sweet and non reactive toward her dogs and cats that she knew this was a special dog who needed a loving foster and rescue group to help him on his way to a better life.  He is on his journey now and is looking for his forever home.  Please consider making Luke a part of your family.
