Adopt a Great Pyrenees / Akbash / Mixed (medium coat)
SugarBear in OH the Dog needs a home
Children in the home must be at least 6 years old.
Previous dog experience is required, preferably large breed.
Female Great Pyrenees rarely cohabitate with other females successfully. Our goal is for each adoption to be a permanent placement, therefore homes that already have a female dog are not eligible to adopt a female Pyr.
Sugar Bear is as sweet as her name. We suspect she`s a Pyrenees/Akbash mix. This girl is tall and energetic and so ready for a home of her own. Her short white coat is easy to maintain but she still enjoys a nice brushing. She loves to be with her people and go on walks and is learning how to be lady with her harness. Sugar Bear has really nice crate manners and is respectful of her bedding. She is happy to sit for you when you ask her to, then will give you “the look” like she`s waiting for her next command. She is patiently waiting on her furever home. Her request is a nice yard to play in with a tall fence to accommodate her statuesque size, and maybe another energetic male dog to romp with. Please consider making SugarBear a part of your family!

About Us: National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a not-for-profit, tax-exempt coalition of Pyr rescuers and rescue groups. We save Pyrs and Pyr mixes across the country and place them in approved foster homes so we know how they will interact with
your
family. Please consider adopting or fostering. Every dog who is fostered or adopted makes room for another Pyr coming out of a kill shelter. Prior to adoption, NGPR dogs are fostered for a minimum of two weeks (usually more), spayed or neutered and fully vetted. Dogs coming from out of area are certified with a USDA health certificate before going to their new homes. Our rescuers adhere to the highest placement standards and will take back any dog whose adoption does not succeed. Visit www.nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed.
