Kadie the Dog needs a home
Kadie is a black lab mix puppy who's only about 6-7 months old. She is already housetrained, and as you can see, she loves to chew so we have to keep lots of toys around! She is from Texas so she wasn't so sure about this snow at first, but she is really starting to enjoy playing in it. She had a horrible beginning to life. She and her littermates were tortured,
but she kept escaping and wo
uld go back after her sister Sadie. What a hero! She finally found a nice lady that went to get her sister and kept them both safe until they could come to Iowa.
Since she was abused, she is a little scared of the leash but we are working on that, some loud noises scare her, but she has come such a LONG way in the short weeks she has been here!! She LOVES kids!
. Now she is such a love bug! She loves giving kisses and cuddling and will be a lap dog if you let her!
We are looking for a home for Kadie that has a physically fenced yard, children or another playful dog, and one who can show her patience and love. She has not been exposed to cats, but we know that her sister Sadie is very interested in them, so a home with cats may not be the best match.
All of animals are current on vaccinations, heartworm-tested, and altered. If selected to adopt Kadie, she must be kept on year-round heartworm and flea preventatives. Our selection process includes background and veterinary checks as well as a home visit.
