Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Howie the Dog needs a home
HOWIE
Howie is an approximately 17 pound (& growing!), neutered male mix breed puppy. His estimated birthdate is 1/20/17. He looks like a lab/rat terrier mix.
He was found as a stray in a small South Texas town. He found himself homeless in the animal control facility.
Howie is playful, affectionate, very sweet, and loves to play with all the dogs in his foster home. He has shown no interest in cats. He has playful high level energy as most puppies his age do. Howie is good in a crate, and is doing well with potty training when kept on a regular schedule.
Howie is current on all age appropriate vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. He comes with a health certificate.
His preferred and recommended home has a secure fenced in yard, another dog to play with, someone home enough to devote time and training to a young dog, and no children under 10.
Howie is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. Local adopters must meet same requirements as out of state adopters.
Howie is available through the City of Lytle Animal Care and Control. Adoption fee is $170, and transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185.
