Quarterhorse (medium coat) Horse

GOLDIE the Horse needs a home

GOLDIE IS A STRIKINGLY BEAUTIFUL, SWEET, AND ATHLETIC MARE WHO WAS SURRENDERED TO LONGMEADOW BECAUSE HER PREVIOUS HOME COULD NOT CONTINUE TO PROVIDE CARE. GOLDIE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT A VARIETY OF DISCIPLINES, AND WOULD DO BEST WITH A CONFIDENT AND EXPERIENCED HANDLER/RIDER.

UPDATE 2017: WHEN EXAMINED GOLDIE DID SHOW SOME SIGNS OF DISCOMFORT IN HER BACK. RADIOGRAPHS SHOWED SLIGHT CHANGES IN HER WITHERS. SHE HAS HAD STEROID INJECTIONS TO SEE IF THAT IMPROVES HER COMFORT AND THEY SEEM TO HAVE WORKED VERY WELL. SHE DOESN''T SHOW ANY ISSUES AT THIS TIME. IT''S POSSIBLE THAT THE INJECTIONS MIGHT HAVE TO BE REPEATED LATER IN HER LIFE OR THEY MIGHT NOT NEED TO BE. WE WILL SEE HOW SHE DOES. SHE ALSO HAD ADJUSTMENTS PERFORMED BY A CHIROPRACTOR, WHICH IMPROVED HER COMFORT.

It is important for Goldie that she has a properly fitted saddle. She needs a wide saddle and is broke to a crupper to help hold the saddle in place. Goldie also requires from shoes. She doesn''t have much sole depth and she is comfortable being ridden in shoes.

Goldie would be best suited as a light trail horse or any other light discipline.
