Adopt a Domestic Short Hair
Elwood the Cat needs a home
These adorable boys were tagged as 'The Blues Brothers' when they came into foster care, because of their blue-gray coloring and their resemblance (forgive us) to the actors who starred in the movie by the same name: Jake (John Belushi), plump, round-faced and with a grumpy mug; and Elwood (Dan Aykroyd), a taller, lankier, more smiley character.
Elwood is very outgoing, bursts into purrs even when approached by a stranger, loves to play with toy springs, dangly ribbons and wands, mousies, bell balls...and with you. He is great when out and about in the house, too.
Jake is a bit more thoughtful when first approached, but when he has his face in his dish of canned food, anyone could do anything with him, except stop him eating: he just loves that canned food. Jake is quite social, and likes playing with small toys and danglies, too, especially when he sees Elwood playing with them. Could it be a case of copycat (no pun) or one-upmanship? Jake is smaller than Elwood, and seems to want to do everything his 'big' brother does, not unusual for brothers, even of the feline variety.
Both boys, though short-haired, have plushy coats with the feel of cashmere. Elwood and Jake want to be with their fosterers all the time, and follow them around the house. Both kittens love to lie on the couch with them, and nap while their fosterers are watching TV.
These Blues Boys are well bonded, might be fraternal twins, and should be adopted as a pair. Neutered, tested, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms.
Please note: Elwood should be adopted with a littermate. For more information & an online application go to http://www.communitycatrescue.org/adoption/cat.php?id=1500&ts=1518840028- Animal: Cat
