Adopt a American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Missy the Dog needs a home
Missy is sweet and energetic. A firefighter found her, and when no one in the area spoke for her, her foster drove two hours to pick her up! She loves sqeekie toys and running in the backyard. She had a pet frog. She didn't harm it, but nosed at it so that it would hop. She can be an escape artist, and kennels cannot hold her.
She is house broken and quickly learned some simple commands. She will request your attention by laying her head on your phone. She loves the dog park and gets along well with our other Pit, but does definitely not get along well with our small terrier, so would appear to be “selective” in her dog-dog relationships. She would be best placed as the only dog in her new home, and will need a backyard that can contain her. No apartment living for this active girl!
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Missy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
