Boris in Midlothian VA the Dog needs a home
Boris came to the Sycamore Vet Hospital mid December after he was found wandering around Pony Pasture by one of our clients. He was skinny, dirty, and had intestinal parasites. We have vaccinated, neutered, dewormed him and he is currently on flea/tick and heart worm preventative. We are guessing he is around 1 yr old. He is currently 52 lbs. We have had him interact with several dogs and seems to do well. He tends to be more submissive with dominant dogs but not sure how he would be around submissive dogs as of yet. He also seems to do well with kids 8-13.
His endearing traits are his ears, and he is cross eyed. He is fun loving, and has lots of energy. He loves his balls and will squeak them all day long. He does like to jump up and will counter surf, but takes to correction fairly well. He is good in his crate, and will still have an occasional urine accident while he is out playing. We think he would do well in a house with another dog, just to help with his energy. He appears to respect a 4 ft fence, but not sure if there was something he really wanted on the other side he wouldn't use his jumping skills to maneuver over the fence. We are willing to provide $300 towards training to get him adjusted to a new home, and provide a year of flea/tick/heartworm preventative!
