PHOENIX the Dog needs a home
Phoenix is a very special 1 year old male, petite black and white Lab mix that weighs 35 pounds and came from a really sad situation where his family was very poor and were evicted out of their home. Phoenix is so very sweet and happy and is very much a puppy still. This shy boy is very skeptical of men in his life but would never bite. He just gives a wide berth to a man in the room and observes them. This boy would be wonderful in an all-female home with or without children. He is the best dog with a young child and he is more comfortable with attention from a female in the home. Phoenix has a good level of energy and he can still use more time getting used to leash walking. This boy would be a perfect candidate for fun puppy classes and he would love the challenges and to learn things in his life. This boy was injured at one time and it healed and his back legs are just a big crooked when he runs. We fixed one leg with an expensive surgery and he walks a little more smoothly now. He will never have a smooth walk but he has been given a gift with the leg surgery to help him in older age. Nothing that is serious but he will always have a funny gait and the cutest half tail that is just adorable. So if you are a female or two that is up to helping him be the puppy he needs to be then you will be rewarded with a great dog in the end. He is great with other dogs and just an all-around good dog that got a bad start to his life. Critter Cavalry Rescue will turn that around now he is living in our care and we are shifting through the capable and perfectly matched people that we know are out there for him.
