Adopt a Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed
Toola the Dog needs a home
If you have second thoughts about adopting a stray or abandoned dog/pup, please check out our "Successful Adoptions Page" and see how many dogs we have already placed into loving homes. Be sure to check out their happy endings under "Happy Tails!"
Toola a BEAUTIFUL Catahoula mix. Her photos just don't do justice to her gorgeous markings! We had to rescue our Toola twice - once when we originally rescued her; then again, several years later, after her adopter unceremoniously dumped her at the county shelter, because she was moving and could not take Toola with her. Our adoption contract states that all of our dogs are to come back to rescue at any time an adopter can no longer care for one of our dogs - but Toola's adopter never called us. After three years in a home, our poor girl found herself scared and facing euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter. We are so glad we got her out of there. Toola is looking for a new home, and we are determined that our girl not get her heart broken again. Toola is housetrained, playful, well-mannered and sweet as can be. We are looking for a home where Toola can be the only dog.
Forever Foster Homes
Because Toola, who is 8 years old, is Valley Fever positive, and needs to be on medication, we would be open to having her "forever fostered." Basically, a forever foster home would be a home where the family is willing to foster one of our medical dogs (a dog that has an ongoing medical condition that requires treatment) on open-ended basis, and we will provide medical care and all basic necessities. Other dogs that would qualify for this "forever foster" situation would be: Chiffon (Valley Fever, cancer), Elsa (blind, Valley Fever), Chase(Valley Fever), Carousel (Valley Fever), Daisy Mae (Valley Fever), and Harley(cancer).
If you live in Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek) and are willing to foster, forever foster, or adopt, please check out our website, fill out an application, and be hero for one of our amazing 2nd Chance Dogs today.
