Adopt a American Staffordshire Terrier / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Happy the Dog needs a home
Happy is a cheerful 28 pound pup, approximately November 2015. She’s fairly submissive, loves ball, and appreciates any attention she gets. She is crate trained, does well on a leash, LOVES toys, and is pretty good with children. She met her foster’s cat and decided not to mess with him, they just touch noses. Happy is good with other dogs but can get upset if they wrestle in front of her, she thinks they are fighting.
When Happy recently had a DNA test done, the very interesting results were: 65% Staffordshire terrier, 25% Jack Russel Terrier, and 10% Chihuahua!
We are working on the sit command on a consistent basis, I require she sit for the door to open when going outdoors,.and are working on “off”. She appears to be fully house trained, has been in her foster home nearly a month with no accidents. Happy sleeps “happily” indoors each night.
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Happy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
