Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Scarlett the Cat needs a home
"Hi, my names Scarlett. In these pictures you can see how happy I am and I'm playing pounce on my foster Mom's feet under the covers. My life wasn't always happy. In fact it was terrifying! I was abandoned by my 1st owners when they decided to move away without me. I was forced to fend for myself outside. I wasn't spayed either so I kept having kittens. I was scared until my foster Mom moved into the house across the street where I was abandoned.
She saw me and another kitty and would put food out for us every day. I was scared so I'd hiss at her and run away. She first named me Scaredy for how much fear I had of people. Trust in people was broken in me the day I was left alone.
Almost a year and a half went by of my foster Mom feeding me outside. I slowly began to trust her. I had a litter of kittens with me and it was very cold outside. That day my foster Mom decided to trap is all and bring us inside. We became fosters for her but we were going to take a lot of patience, time and love to become house kitties.
We started out in a small bathroom panicking about being inside and hissing out of fear. I got a new name so now I'm Scarlett. Things were going to be great for us but I didn't know that at first.
Flash forwards to now which has been a couple months of hard work and love and here I am!! I very happy and I play and I trust! I love other cats but will take a little time adjusting to them. I love kids but would love kids that can respect my boundaries and not pick me up and let me know they are coming to pet me.
I will make you an awesome companion and would love a forever inside only home. It will take me a little time to adjust to you first but I promise to love you forever. I just need the right person to understand where I came from and how far I've come! Please adopt me". Love: Scarlett ??
