Adopt a German Shepherd Dog
Roxy the Dog needs a home
*****************Courtesy Post********************
Roxy was abandoned at a Park in La Habra C, in 2012.
Roxy was immediately examined by a veterinarian, and was believed to have recently have given birth. The Vet also believed that Roxy was approximately 2 years old at that time.
The Vet also believed that Roxy was mistreated. Roxy to this day will not go into a dog house, and is terrified of water, and especially fireworks or very loud noises.
Roxy was best buddies with our 16lb Multipooh, and she seemed to take on a mother roll in the relationship. Roxy lived with a family from April – June of this year and shared a yard with another very large male German shepherd, and they got along very well.
Roxy is quite the hunter, she will hunt birds, squirrels, and even fish.
Roxy's favorite place to be is sitting quietly beside any human, but especially my Son and Husband. Even if there are lots of fireworks or loud noises Roxy was fine just if she was sitting by any human being. Roxy's favorite place to be is in the house in her “spot!” We gave her a spot in the living room on the floor in front of the fireplace and she would run into the house and plant herself there for the night during storms or winter.
Roxy tries to talk, and responds when you converse with her, she is very verbal. Roxy can obey sit and stay commands.
Roxy loves to play with toys, with other dogs, and especially with humans. When Roxy is happy she spins with delight, and darts around the yard with great speed. Roxy is an excellent watch dog.
We have never seen Roxy behave in an aggressive manner.
