Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / American Pit Bull Terrier (short coat)
Moose the Dog needs a home
Meet Moose! This handsome guy is an approximately 10-year-old pittie who came to us from the Mahoning County Dog Pound. He has quite the story. Poor Moose was found trapped in a ravine by a telephone company. He was brought to the pound in pretty rough shape and waited several weeks for rescue. Moose was skinny, wormy, scraped up, and suffering from untreated glaucoma, but none of that altered his sunny personality! Moose is blind, but it doesn’t stop him from jumping up on the couch to love on his foster family. He requires daily eye drops to manage his glaucoma. Moose's adopters will have to be patient as he transitions to his new home. He will need help learning the route through his new house and yard. Moose does well with cats and laid-back dogs. He is very sweet with children, but adopters with kids will have to teach them to interact with a who cannot see. Moose is house and crate-trained. He is a quiet and mellow guy who just wants to lounge and be snuggled.
In order to adopt Moose, we require you are at least 21-years-old and own your home. Any current pets must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention.
Moose's adoption fee is $200 to cover the cost of his care and vetting. Vetting includes his neuter surgery, microchip, heartworm test (negative), Rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, Bordatella vaccination, dewormer, a nail trim, and grooming.
