Adopt a Beagle / Mixed (short coat)

Beagle / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Tia the Dog needs a home

My name is Tia. I am approx 3.5 years old and when I came to Tired Dog Rescue it was because I was so scared that it was thought I was not adoptable. Tired Dog didn't think that was true and wanted to give me a chance. I hid for weeks and wouldn't come near anyone. Little by little I inched closer. Then I would come to eat when called but I didn't want you to even take a step towards me. I would run and hide but now life is so great. I have a ton of doggie friends and I am even letting my foster mom pet me and pick me up sometimes.

I am sure that when I find my furever home i am going to be scared for a while since it will be a new scary place. I am hoping to find a family who will be VERY patient with me and not expect me to be the perfect family dog. I do take medicine that helps with my anxiety and I will be able to discontinue once I am comfortable and trust my family completely.

I love other dogs but have not been around cats. I think I would be ok though. They will prob be more scared of me than me of them. At this point in my progress young children would not be recommended. I need a quiet, calm home.

I am housetrained. I do not require a crate but will get into typical Beagle trouble if you leave things around that I can get into but my foster mom thinks I am a hoot because I get myself in many jams that I need her help to get out of. Like falling in the garbage or food container. I am a silly girl who just needs the opportunity to grow, trust and love.

My fee is 150.00 and I am up-to-date on vaccinations, heartoworm negative and spayed. Fill out an app at www.tireddogrescue.com
