Keifer, two years old, 26 pounds, delicate looking, fawn-like, was tied outside most of his life. Amazingly he is healthy and heartworm negative, and? trusting in people's kindness. Not surprisingly he relishes the warmth of the shelter… even though the noise terrifies him. Keifer was dumped at this shelter by an elderly owner whose reason for turning him in was: "We don't want it anymore."
?Outside the shelter Keifer is calmer, comes around quickly with a gentle human touch. He is fine around other dogs and seems to do well with gentle children but noise and quick movements scare him. We recommend a calm, cozy, mature household where Keifer can receive the love and comfort he needs. Likely he will need house training but this young dog will be eager to please.?
