My name is Petunia (and I answer to ‘Tuna, Petunia Jane or PJ), and I’m a 3 year old Terrier/dachshund  (yes, really) mix. I’m also called Pretty Princess at times, but don’t know why.

I’m a family dog that loves to play, run alongside the bike, suntan outside, and snooze on my bed or the couch. I love toys, treats and sleeping with a blanket.

I get along well with my dog brother and other medium-large-extra large dogs, but not with small dogs. I will need some introductions to any dogs already in my new house. My mom doesn’t think I would be good with cats based on their size.

I love kids (I have a 12 and 14 year old human sister and brother), and I am well trained. I practice loose leash walking, “leave it”, “find it”, come, stay, and touch. I am very healthy, and currently take a small daily dose of doggie Prozac because I get a little anxious when people let their dogs run loose in the park my house overlooks. I might not need that in my new house.

My family loves me very much and wants me to have the best home. They don’t want to have to let me go live with a new family, but want to do the right thing for me. I protected my yard from an off leash small dog, and the man tried to hurt me with a golf club. My mom doesn’t want to take any chances that someone might do anything bad to me.
