Dillon the Dog needs a home

Dillon came to our rescue after her former owner decided they no longer wanted her. There were no problems reported with her, they just couldn't give Dillon the time or attention they felt she deserved.
Dillon is a very friendly girl and a bit on the submissive side. She loves attention, belly rubs and will lay her head in your lap as she gets love from you. She is very dog friendly, has been perfect around children and always seems to be in a happy mood. She will make a great family companion for some lucky family. She's had some house training but will most likely need additional training once in a new home.
Dillon has received an update on all of her vaccinations, been wormed and started on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives.
At her recent vet exam on 8/11/17, Dillon tested positive for heart worms. Our vet stated that her "level of infection appeared to be very, very slight" and recommended we not put her through the strenuous injections treatment. Our course of treatment will be the Slow Kill method: keeping her on a monthly preventative and having her retested every 6 months. Hopefully someone will see this wonderful girl for who she is and not just focus on her "positive" heart worm status as it would be a shame for her to remain at a rescue until she test negative.
