All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff. If you have questions concerning a specific animal, PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch. We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed. Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments. Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants. The adopter will be chosen at that time. The process can take anywhere from a week to a month. We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!

My name is Max. I'm a little guy. I was taped shut in a box and put out in the trash at a Harrisburg City Fire Department. Lucky for me a nice firefighter saw the box moving and he brought the box in the firehouse, cut the tape and found me and my 3 siblings!!! We weren't in the best of shape and he called my foster daddy who is also a firefighter who then called my foster mommy who is the Director of the rescue and she came and picked us up. She bottle fed us really yummy warm kitten formula and put us in her kitten room with 3 other kittens and life became really good :) Now mom says we are ready to get our Furever families and she promises they will love us just like she does! I'm sort of scared and excited all at the same time!
I hope my new home has a big cat tree cause I love my tree :)
