Adopt a Rottweiler (short coat)
Kobe the Dog needs a home
|
|
Kobe is a 2 year old neutered male rescued from Killeen animal shelter during hurricane Harvey. He's a sweetheart dog that had a rough life. He has had weeks of formal training at the Canine Center for Training and Behavior in central Texas. He knows sit, stay, lay down, take, and fetch.
Kobe had to learn how humans were his friend and how to be a dog again. Now, he'll do anything to please, especially for a treat. Once he figured out humans were his best friend all he wanted to do was be around them. Kobe LOVES hiking, runs and drives in a car. He would love a home with an active owner or couple that would take him everywhere. He gets along with other dogs as long as they are properly introduced. He also has potential with cats. Kobe
needs a strong Rottweiler knowledgeable owner.
Kobe has lived with a female Rottweiller as well as 5 & 6 year old boys but would be best in a home with older kids. His ideal home would be one with no kids so he could get all the attention that he well deserves.
Kobe loves the country life and didn’t mind the cows or chickens when he approached them. His former owner left him for long periods of time and sometimes didn't return for days. Someone that will show him around and take him everywhere would be great.
At the training center t-touch therapy was practiced with him and he absolutely loves it. So much that when he is laying down and you pet him he will fall asleep. He was a huge hit at the training center and they could not speak more highly of him and how much of a big silly sweetheart he has become. He needs and deserves a calm loving and kind home that will show him that he is part of a loving family.
