Adopt a Siberian Husky (medium coat)

Siberian Husky (medium coat) Dog

Titan the Dog needs a home

Hey, there. My name is Titan. That's a bold name for a scrawny guy like myself, but the name matches my heart, not my size.

My story prior to coming to TXHR will move the hardest of hearts to tears. You see, a very nice lady found me after I had collapsed in her front yard. She thought that I had been hit by a car because I wasn't moving. It actually turned out that I was just incredibly exhausted after being on my own for so long. Since I lost my watch along the way, I lost track of how long I had been wandering around. I do know that it was a long time because I was in pretty rough shape, to put it lightly.

The wonderful people at the animal shelter picked  me up and gave me something to eat. Boy, was I ravenous. Unfortunately, it had been so long since I had last eaten that I threw everything up. I know it was hard for them and my foster mommy to not give me all the food they could find because they could see all the bones in my body, but I had to be slowly reintroduced to food. Fortunately, my tummy is all better and I'm on my way to the next heavyweight championship. Not only was I severely emaciated and malnourished, but I also had a crazy ear infection that was making it hard for me to hear. I also had heartworms and pretty much every per parasite that's out there.

I know you are thinking that dogs are pretty resourceful and will look in trashcans and other places for food, but I couldn't do that because I can't see. That's right, I'm blind. Like Helen Keller blind. But don't worry, I don't let that get me down. In fact, once I'm in a place for a couple of days, I can get the lay of the land. I can even get in and out of the doggie door all by myself at my foster home. On the rare occasion that I can't find the door to get back in, I just let out a howl to let everyone know I'm a little turned around. Yup, I am one smart dude. Although I'm pretty well adjusted to not being able to see, I do still get a little nervous in the car. But you have to admit that it has to be nerve-racking to be going, what I assume has to be 800 MPH, without knowing where you are going.

Now that I am on the road to recovery, I love to spend my days hanging out with my foster family. When I hear my foster mom's voice or smell her scent, I just can't hide my excitement. I guess because it has been so long since I was loved, I just can't get enough of cuddling up with my family.

Anyway, that's enough about me. I would love to hear about you and how you could give me the forever that I have always dreamed of. (PS, I know I ended that sentence with a preposition, but I like to be a rebel every now and then.)
