Lip the Dog needs a home
Although I'm named Lip (short for Phillip), I'm told my ears may be my best feature. Do you like my ears?
I am an energetic and active guy, and a friendly one at that! I can be a bit anxious when transitioning to new places and things, and I need a home that understands that I just need some time to adjust. I tend to get more jumpy on people when I'm anxious.
One of my favorite things to do is to play with toys. Rope toys and plush toys are my favorites! And playing with toys is a great outlet for my energy! I'm just not sure how I'd feel if someone tried to abruptly take them away. I'm learning that sharing is a good thing. If I share my toys then I might get something even better in return! An exchange of my toy for something of higher value is a good exercise for me to work on this. But for this reason, a home without small children is best for me.
I also love to sit on the couch with a human buddy and hang out when I'm calm. Also, when I'm calm, I love to lean on my people for affection. And if you give me butt scratches that makes me have a wiggle butt! I already know some basic commands, too. I have a solid, "sit" for one! I'm also good on the leash!
