Hi! My name is Steve! I am a 2 year old shepherd mix and have been called a "good boy!" on many occasions. I am a cuddly (yet athletic) 45 lbs and and am very excited to come to DC to find my furever family. The people here at the shelter have been very nice, but I am told there is a home for me out there with lots of toys, a really comfy bed to sleep in AND a loving family to give me lots of hugs.

Because I'm still young, I will need PLENTY of exercise to be happy! I would love to go on adventures with you like hiking, long walks, trips to the dog park and more! I would love a family with another dog friend for me to play with but I would also be happy as your one and only! I am ready to go to obedience school and will try really hard to learn all tricks I can. I take treats very gently so school will be fun for you too! I'm not sure how I will do around cats but if you ask, my adoption coordinator will find out!

Like most shelter dogs, Steve may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
